Swuffy Unicorn - From Mythology to Reality.

Hey Guys!

Swuffys are a very popular range of soft toys which you can craft and collect. A few days ago, SmallWorlds asked you to cast your vote to decide which Swuffy would be the next in our range.

The results came in and with a resounding 60% of the vote, I am pleased to be able to present the Swuffy Unicorn!
Straight from the pages of legend, the Swuffy Unicorn, as chosen by the citizens of SmallWorlds, makes the leap from mythology to reality today. The Unicorn is a symbol of purity and grace, with many legends about its properties stretching back to antiquity.

We don't really know what the properties of the Swuffy Unicorn are, but for such a beautiful and regal animal as this we know that it will have a positive effect on every player that comes in contact with one.
To craft this Unicorn on your Sewing Machine you will need to be Crafting Level 95 or higher. To complete the craft you will require Unicorn Card (x2), the Plain Teddy Bear and the Exquisite Fabric (x4).
Undoubtedly this will be a popular choice based on the 60% of the vote it bought in. This long maned, blue eyed vision will be assured pride of place in your Swuffy collection.

Vote For A New Swuffy!

SmallWorlds enjoyed getting you all involved with the previous Choose Your Swuffy Project. So they have decided to try it again.  They brought back the runner-up from the last votes: the Swuffy Monkey, and put it up against two brand new choices.


This time around SmallWorlds has decided to shorten the length of time that the voting is open. You'll have just over two days to get your votes in for this Swuffy choice. They saw that in the last round most of the voting happened in the first 2 days. So if you want to vote this time you'll have to be quick, quick, quick!

Swuffy Tiger - The People's Choice

A week ago, SmallWorlds offered you the opportunity to vote for the next Swuffy to be released, from a choice of three.

After a week of voting the numbers came up for the Swuffy Tiger.

Just over 50% of the votes went for the Tiger and frankly with its regal and charismatic appearance I'm not surprised.

The Tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest of the cat family and and once roamed far and wide across the Asian and European continents, but now all surviving species are on the endangered list and are protected worldwide.

The Swuffy Tiger was the clear winner in our online vote through Facebook Likes and Google +1's. Easily beating out the Monkey and the Pig, the Swuffy Tiger will add a certain majesty to your Swuffy collection and be the envy of all other Swuffy figures.

You can craft the Swuffy Tiger from the lowest level yet for a Swuffy at Level 55. You will need the Woods Card (x15), the Plain Teddy bear and the Plain Fabric (x4).

Here's your chance to choose which Swuffy you'd like us to make next!

Below are three pieces of concept art for 3 possible Swuffy characters that have not yet been made. Choose the one you like the most and cast your vote!

Voting opens Monday 12th March and closes at Midnight Sunday 18th March.

SmallWorlds is about more than just us creating new things and offering them to you, it's also about choice and listening to what you would like. Their artists are very talented people and there are stages in the design of new items that you lot do not normally see. Concept Art is one of those things that SmallWorlds has plenty of but never publish, and from that concept if they decide to make an item, the item is constructed.

This above Swuffys have been drawn as concept art only, and not yet made by our 3-D artists. 

SmallWorlds are launching a new Swuffy in the line, but this time it will be one chosen by you. They will open the voting up for 1 week for you to vote using Facebook Like or Google Plus 1. At the end of the week SmallWorlds will tally those votes and the winner will be made and released in world a few days after voting has closed. The remaining two Swuffy characters will be returned to the idea pool for later consideration.

Looking for your Frog Prince?

Hey Guys!

Amphibious, green and unique, the Swuffy Frog is the latest in our collectable Swuffy line.

SmallWorlds wouldn't usually release two Swuffys so close together, but this week we saw an opportunity with the sad departure of our longest-serving designer Rob, to immortalize Sir Croaks-A-Lot, one of the many items he created, and the one he is best known for.

What could be more fitting than Sir-Croaks-A-Lot getting the Swuffy treatment on Rob's last day? We hope Rob knows that no matter how far he may roam, he'll always be remembered here in SmallWorlds.
Get your own Swuffy Frog, and you'll be helping us to say farewell and good luck to Rob as he sets sail on life's next great adventure. And of course, the Swuffy Frog is a great one to add to your Swuffy collection!
If you are Crafting level 185 or higher then you can combine the Sir Croaksalot Card (x1), the Plain Teddy Bear and the Exquisite Fabric (x4) to make the Swuffy Frog.

Who Ya Gonna Call?

The latest in the Swuffy family is a spooky addition, a cute and friendly ghost.
Swuffys are a line of soft toy collectibles that SmallWorlds release regularly. So far there's been a Dragon, Penguin, Astronaut, and a very exclusive, expencive ($200! Boy! That is wrong!), rare Snow Fox. Now we have a Swuffy Ghost.

Buster the Ghost was the monthly collectible for October 2010 and he was a hit straight away. Now he's back, not to haunt us, but to join the Swuffy line up.
He's so friendly you'd have a ghost of a chance resisting adding him to your collection!
Use your Sewing Machine to craft this spectral Swuffy from the Buster Card (x15), the Plain Teddy Bear and Plain Fabric (x4). If you're at Crafting Skill Level 75 or higher then you can craft your own Swuffy Buster. With the Buster card less rare than the others, and the lowest crafting level requirement yet, this is the perfect Swuffy to add to your collection, or to get you started.

Swuffy Snow Fox

I present to you the Swuffy Snow Fox!  Yes, the highly desirable and hard-to-get Snow Fox suit is now available as a Swuffy. 

The Snow Fox suit is one of our rarest items, and it's easy to see why it's so valued and sought after.  Both the Snow Fox Suit and Swuffy are items that will shine and be remembered for years to come. 

There are two ways to get your hands on our most exclusive Swuffy yet. You can craft this exquisite new Swuffy Snow Fox on your Sewing Machine by combining the Snow Fox Card (x1), the Plain Teddy Bear and the Exquisite Fabric (x4). This crafting item can be made by Level 195 crafters and above.  

But for the first time we have provided a way to get this incredible Swuffy for those unable to get their hands on the very hard-to-get Snow Fox card.  Players who wish to pay a premium price will be able to purchase this Swuffy Snow Fox for a limited time. 

The Swuffy Snow Fox package comes with a superb bonus.  You'll receive a very special pedestal that has been custom designed specifically for displaying your Swuffy.  The pedestal has spotlights set into it to light up your Swuffy to perfection.  It's a pedestal fit for our most exclusive item!

The Snow Fox (or Vulpes lagopus) is a native of the Northern hemisphere, specifically in the Arctic Tundra.  In it's natural habitat the Snow Fox is a sight to behold, and in SmallWorlds your Swuffy will be the star of whatever space you are in.

An Icy Cool Swuffy!

The newest Swuffy is the coolest of characters, the Swuffy Penguin!

If you missed the introduction of Swuffys, they are new soft toy collectables that will be released regularly. The very first one was the Swuffy Chinese Dragon, introduced last week.
I know this penguin will be a very popular Swuffy, as who can resist a penguin's charm? This flightless bird is found almost exclusively in the southern Hemisphere, and now it's on your Advanced Crafting Table or Sewing Machine as well!
Smart and elegant in their little black and white coats, the penguin makes an iconic and oh-so-cute addition to the Swuffy range. Use your Sewing Machine to craft this Swuffy Penguin from the Elvis Card (x2), the Plain Teddy Bear and Fine Fabric (x4). If you're at Crafting Level 125 or higher then you can make the Penguin yours.

Introducing the Swuffy

Hey guys!

Introducing a whole new line of very cute craftable collectables!  New soft toys called Swuffys will be released regularly. The very first one is the Swuffy Dragon.  It's based on the second monthly collectible ever made, the Chinese Dragon, released in January 2009.  

You can craft the Swuffy Dragon using our new Crafting Widget - the Sewing Machine. The recipe to make the Swuffy Dragon includes a Plain Teddy Bear, which is also new today and in Modern Living now.

The Sewing Machine

Use a Sewing Machine (or your regular crafting table) to make your new Swuffy (SmallWorlds Fluffy Toy). The whole range of collectible Swuffys will be craftable only and not for sale through official SmallWorlds shops.

Also available to craft on your Sewing Machine will be curtains, rugs and couches - all the soft furnishings from your regular crafting tables. Now you can use your Sewing Machine to make these items!

Get down to Modern Living to pick up the new Sewing Machine. It's available in either Gold (500) or tokens (5000). And while you're there, pick up a Plain Teddy Bear to craft into the first Swuffy - the Swuffy Dragon.

Making Your Swuffy

To make your Swuffy Dragon, take a Plain Teddy Bear and combine it with the Chinese Dragon Card and the Exquisite Fabric (x4)

You'll need to be a Level 175 Crafter to make the Swuffy Dragon. If you don't have enough Crafting levels yet, you can still get your own Swuffy.  The Marketplace is the place for citizens to buy and sell, and I'm sure if you keep a close eye on it, you'll be able to pick up the new Swuffy. 

Whether you want to collect, cuddle or carry the new Swuffy Dragon, its cuteness is undeniable.  Get yours now and you'll be the envy of all your friends. Just in time for Chinese New Year and the dawn of the Year of the Dragon, the new Swuffy Dragon lets you celebrate in style!

And remember if you are pressed for time or want to buy from the comfort of your own home space, you can get the items you need to make the Swuffy using the Shop icon which gives you instant access to the Shopping Catalog.
