As I see it, everyone who has entered the film contests is a winner. I'm continuously impressed by the caliber of the cinematography, the stunning effects and the brilliant screenplays. Kudos to the talented SmallWorlds film-makers for all of your achievements.

Who Ya Gonna Call?

Hey guys!

The latest in the Swuffy family is a spooky addition, a cute and friendly ghost.
Swuffys are a line of soft toy collectibles that SmallWorlds release regularly. So far there's been a Dragon, Penguin, Astronaut, and a very exclusive, expencive ($200! Boy! That is wrong!), rare Snow Fox. Now we have a Swuffy Ghost.

Buster the Ghost was the monthly collectible for October 2010 and he was a hit straight away. Now he's back, not to haunt us, but to join the Swuffy line up.
He's so friendly you'd have a ghost of a chance resisting adding him to your collection!
Use your Sewing Machine to craft this spectral Swuffy from the Buster Card (x15), the Plain Teddy Bear and Plain Fabric (x4). If you're at Crafting Skill Level 75 or higher then you can craft your own Swuffy Buster. With the Buster card less rare than the others, and the lowest crafting level requirement yet, this is the perfect Swuffy to add to your collection, or to get you started.

New Header, Primary XP and a Dance Club!

Hey guys!

Today SmallWorlds has two new features being introduced.  There's a new header bar which gives you a clear, easy-to-read set of controls, as well as making it easier for you to access the news and forums.  They also have a new Primary XP Path, which is a summary of all your Skills XP.

Also today, SmallWorlds release the first in a series of brand new commercial spaces.  If you've ever wanted to own your own Dance Club, we've just made it easy!

Primary XP

Primary XP is your total XP score that summarizes your SmallWorlds experience points from each skill path (Social, Explorer, Artist, Gamer, Farmer, Crafter, Arena). You can earn up to 1000 XP every day in each skill path. To learn more about XP and Skills click here.

New Header Bar

SmallWorlds has added a clean, clear and concise set of controls to the top of the screen. The Gold and Token balances are now larger and more readable, and they have also made it easier for you to get to the forums - something that many have been asking for.

To get to your home space, click the House Icon on the left side of your header bar.

Own Your Own Dance Club!

Today sees the first release in a series of brand new Commercial Spaces. 

The first commercial space is the Sunset Club, a space designed for those who want to own, operate or just hang out in their own club. Dance Club, Night Club or Private Club - it's up to you! Well, to be honest, I thought it was good at first but acturly it's quite rubbish lol.

Pay a visit to the Sunset Club now. You'll find it in the For Sale section of your Places Panel.

Dance Club Furniture and Accessories

Visit the Sunset Club and you'll see some wonderful new furniture and accessories. All furniture in the Sunset Club is for sale in the space itself, so you can pick up whatever takes your fancy while you're in there. A lot of the new furniture is available in tokens.  And for your convenience, it's also available from your catalog.

The Swoscars Are Coming

After months of competitions, hundreds of hours of video and countless hours of production, the biggest night of the SmallWorlds film community is almost here.

The inaugural Swoscars celebrates the achievements of all those who script, direct and act in the thousands of SmallWorlds videos found on YouTube. Whether they are comedies, romances, music videos, horror films, how-tos ... these films provide entertainment, assistance and inspiration!

The Swoscars, just like the real Oscars, will be held February 26th. The event space opens that afternoon - and you're invited to the show!

So do your best dress or tux, grab a date and get ready to walk the red carpet.

Sitka and Sophie

Hey guys!

I love getting my Loyalty Reward, don't you? Today I'm thrilled to announce that if you collect all three Gnomes in the series, including the new Fishing Gnome, you can combobulate them into an amazing pond! 

SmallWorlds has also got two very cute monthly collectibles for February - Sitka the Siberian Husky, and Sophie the Beagle.  Check out their wagging tails! I had Sikta but I traded it for Bird of Paradise.

January's Loyalty Challenge: The Fishing Gnome

This cute little gnome has just caught a fish. He's just lovely on his own, but even better when displayed with the two other gnomes in the series.

You'll get the Fishing Gnome for free if you fill up four gems during February.

If you're new to the Loyalty Challenge, here's how it works. Just earn 6 Loyalty Points each day, for three days in a row to fill up one gem - that's your Weekly Challenge.

The Outdoor Gnome Pond

Once you've got all three gnomes in the series, make sure they're all in your inventory, then head down to the Combobulator Laboratory. 

You'll be able to exchange your gnomes for this wonderful Outdoor Gnome Pond.

Earning Your Loyalty Challenge

The weekly challenge is to earn 6 Loyalty Points each day, for three days in a row.  Here are all the ways you can earn your points:

• Complete a Featured Mission - You get +6 Loyalty Points

• Complete an offer with one of our great offer providers (head to The Factory or try one of the Offer Machines in any SmallWorlds store) - You get +6 Loyalty Points

• Look after your pets - You get +1 Loyalty for every new Pet Point you've earned

• Harvest or successfully cross-pollinate a plant - You get +1 Loyalty Point

• Play Spin-to-Win - You get +1 Loyalty Point

• Play a Tournament Game - Points are earned according to your score (only awarded if the minimum score is met).

Check Your Progress on your Console

You can check your progress using the Loyalty Challenge panel on your Console.

This panel shows you how many Loyalty Points you've earned for the current week, and which gem you're on. One progress marker fills up for each Loyalty Point you earn. When all six are full, the current day's challenge is complete and one third of the current gem will fill.

Is It Puppy Love?

With Valentine's Day coming up, is it a good time to talk about puppy love? All I can say is that I do love February's collectibles!

SmallWorlds monthly collectibles can be worn by anyone. You need no XP to wear either Sitka or Sophie. 

You can own two of each kind of collectible, which means you can keep one for your collection and hold onto the other to sell at a later date. Our monthly collectibles often grow in value in the months after their release, so they can be a fantastic investment opportunity!
